Dog Meets Roz, Nov 28, 2011

Reviewer: Sammy J from Melbourne, Australia

Dan Butler is amazing as Bulldog, particularly if you've seen him in
other things/real life. He commits to the character 100%. Although I
find Bulldog to be better in small bites, this is one of his strongest
showings. It's been a while since Peri Gilpin had a decent showcase,
and she has such great chemistry with Butler that I'm glad they get
this episode together.

While I don't find this episode all that memorable by comparison, it's
yet further proof that "Frasier"'s strength lies in its ability to create
so many different types of stories, depending on the character and
themes involved. In typical sitcom format, the status quo is
preserved at the end, but Gilpin, Butler and Grammer go for broke,
and make this an enjoyable little outing.

Roz In The Doghouse, Apr 07, 2006

This is one of my favourite Bulldog episodes, "Love Bites Dog" comes in a close second. My favourite part was the final scene in Roz's apartment, when Bulldog stripped, and put out the candles, the rose petals and the music in almost an instant. When you watched it, it made it seem like it was being fast forwarded because he was being so fast. Then we end with half-naked Bulldog walking out of Roz's appartment, passing Frasier who says "I'm listening."

'Roz In The Doghouse' review, May 27, 2005

This episode hands the spotlight to Roz and Bulldog for once as he asks her to produce his sports show, much to the chagrin of Frasier as he suddenly finds himself without a producer and so has to go through a succession of disasterous replacements. A pretty good episode ensues with some nice moments such as when a defiant Roz tries to storm out of Frasier's apartment whilst hobbling on crutches as well Frasier's new producer struggling to stay awake while the final scene where Bulldog strips off and jumps into Roz's bed is a fine example of Dan Butler's remarkable physical agility.
