A hoot, Nov 24, 2011

Reviewer: Sammy J from Melbourne, Australia

An hilarious episode, combining much of the best of what "Frasier" has to offer. The initial workplace humour moves into one of my favourite "Frasier" genres: when the whole city turns against him. A put-upon Frasier Crane is a funny Frasier Crane, and the climactic dinner event, where his fortunes go from bad to worse, is a hoot. I love any time the characters are dressed up and out together, and it's nice to see Roz slowly integrating with the Crane clan. Great fun.

Still holds water after all these years!, May 12, 2011

This episode was a hoot. It is now 2011, and every time I see a rerun, I think,
"One of these days I hope I can see the one about the Bishop." Pure writing genius!

'The Botched Language Of Cranes', May 25, 2005

Although 'The Matchmaker' was filmed and aired first, this was the first script which Joe Keenan wrote for the series and it's one I find immensely funny. This is perhaps the ultimate 'foot in mouth' episode as Frasier is caught saying the wrong thing over and over again. I loved the running joke where Frasier would be seen clutching another freshly destroyed umbrella while the climax at the benefit where Frasier chooses to deliver an ill-chosen 'Titanic' joke is a great cringe-making comedy moment and neatly tops off an all-round top notch episode.
