Hello :)

Postby PistolPoet » Tue Dec 11, 2012 9:36 pm

Hi everyone!

I couldn't find an introduction thread, and it didn't feel right to just start posting without introducing myself. My name is Georgia (at least it is in English) and I'm from Serbia. Can't believe I didn't join this forum before, cos I know almost every Frasier episode by heart. I love the show so much that I've started translating the whole thing into Serbian so that more people can enjoy it :).
Anyway, I've been looking for a forum to call home, hope this will be it!

Welcome Georgia, I am French but my origins are Polish on my Father's side and half Polish half Russian on my mother's side. I wouldn't be surprised if I had a Serb somewhere in my family tree.
I wish you good luck on that translation. I know from experience that to write something that's both accurate and easy to read is a lot of work, so kudos for your willingness to undertake such a task. :)

FYI, my first name is indeed Patrick.

Thank you all!
Btw, are all posts always subject to approval by the mods, or will my posts be automatically approved after I've been here for a while?

EDIT: Answered my own question, my post appeared immediately :). Never mind!

 There's a pub within staggering distance of my house, so no problems on that score, and once i'm royally drunk seeing beautiful women is no problem at all.

I was talking to this gorgeous girl once for half an hour before someone pointed out it was a coat rack

Depends on the year. I'm inclined to say we don't get as much snow as we used to, but that might be just a subjective impression (I love snow, so there's never enough of it for me :)). This winter we've had maybe three weeks (in total) where there was snow on the ground, but not a lot of it. On the other hand, last year we had a huge storm and most schools were shut down for two weeks. So basically, you never know :). Why do you ask?

The reason I ask is partly due to curiousity, partly see how other people around the world deal with snow since people here in Oklahoma aren't used to it as much I have since I'm from Wyoming. Then again, the Okies here can't drive on ice earlier. Love snow can't stand rain which means Seattle isn't a good place for me to live in. Went there in 1983 or 1984. Loved the Space Needle.
