There's a pub within staggering distance of my house, so no problems on that score, and once i'm royally drunk seeing beautiful women is no problem at all.

Depends on the year. I'm inclined to say we don't get as much snow as we used to, but that might be just a subjective impression (I love snow, so there's never enough of it for me ). This winter we've had maybe three weeks (in total) where there was snow on the ground, but not a lot of it. On the other hand, last year we had a huge storm and most schools were shut down for two weeks. So basically, you never know . Why do you ask?
