I dunno, but they use that phrase on the Simpsons site www.snpp.com - did you get it from there?

The question is, why are they using that phrase. It's from a third season episode.

Actually, that sounds like a good question for the Simpsons quiz thread - care to post it on there? (then we'll leave Cakey's 'Best Daphne Moment' thread alone! :D )

I think it's interesting that you only listed two Daphne moments post-season 4. I wouldn't argue with any of your choices either.

Oh, I've given up on the lawsuit for now.

But I hate to see the defamation of the character of people I like! I cry and cry over stuff like that. There are some people that I admire and like and respect so much, it's just horrid to have their reputations dirtied.

You must live in a frustrating world, BGF. People will say what they like, and occasionally people will say things because it will upset you. Such is life. You should take such people with a pinch of salt, or if it's a person who's opinion really matters to you - try and convince them of your point of view.

Surely you don't take everyone's opinion to heart do you? That way, madness lies!

Not everyone's, but if it's from someone I like and respect, then I tend to take them quite seriously, and sometimes I'll be upset by them. People can have different opinions, but I don't see why some people have to take some sort of perverse delight in making fun of other people's opinions, or endlessly criticising something they know the person likes very much.

They sound like exactly the sort of people you should take with a pinch of salt. They don't sound too friendly either. You shouldn't respect anyone who goes out of their way to be nasty. You're better than that.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

No mention of The Matchmaker or Moon Dance??? What's happening to this world?!?

My nominations:

The Innkeepers - Killing the eel.

The Matchmaker - Arriving for love, turning round, removing the bra. Love that moment! Personal favourite and in my opinion should win this.

Moon Dance - The dance training and the dance itself.

Chess Pains - The sock puppet song.
Goodnight Seattle, we love ya!!!

I just had to make sure with myself before posting that this thread is about Daphnes best MOMENT and NOT EPISODE.

My favourite episode would be Daphne's room.

My favourite moments include:

 Daphne's constant mention of Bat Mitzvah, much to the annoyance of Frasier, Niles and Martin.

 Daphne's drunk yet true comment about Mel to Niles- "She's all wrong for you"

 Daphne's annoyance at Robert! -the French "fancy shop" owner

There are many, many more, and I can't bring myself to prioritise them. :D

 The tango with Niles
Don't get me started on rationalistic pantheism or there go the whole three hours!

There are soooo many moments where Daphne shines and the number 1 reason for this is due to Jane's brilliant acting and secondly due to the writing for her character before season 8, though there are shining moments for Daphne in seasons 8-11 as I will list below.

My fave moments in order:

1) Something Borrowed Something Blue- season 7: The whole hotel room/balcony sequence where Niles confesses and she eventually kisses him.

2) A Room With a View- SEASON 10: Daphne's heartbreaking speech/breakdown about her fears for Niles'.

3) The Good Son- season 1 pilot: Her first scene, definitely the best introduction for any of the characters and my favurite part of the episode.

4) Travels with Martin- Season 1: This very Daphne based episode is my fave in season 1. I love Daphne's scream and the repetitions of 'Sure'.

5)he Mother Load (part two)- Season 9: Simon is about to leave and she tries to get him to stay, not succesfully but still it shows her caring side. A very powerful performance from Jane.

6) Moons over Seattle- season 9: She asks Niles to marry her then and there, when I first saw this both my mum and I cried to as her passion was so intense. A stand out performance by Jane and beautifully written dialogue.

7) You can't buy me love season 1: The saga with Bulldog of course, very funny stuff!

7) The show where Woody shows up- season 6: Her brilliant drunk rendition of ' I feel Pretty'...just LOL LOL LOL :)

Its probably not hard to guess that Daphne is one of my two favourite characters along with Niles. I will think of many more favourite moments I'm sure but these immediately come to mind. Daphne is fabulous :D
