This is a thread for you to jot down a weird fact you may know.

I will begin.

A group of rats is called a "mischief".

Not sure if strange, but i think it's a pleasingly useless fact. Multiplying a number of 1s by themselves equals a palindromic number. the best being:

111111111 x 111111111 = 12345678987654321

Like this one. :)

And accordingly, I find 255 a good number in binary terms; equating to 11111111 in binary fibonacci. The last of the 8-bit numbers becomes 100000000 in 9 bit, 256 being the root. I don't know why I like the number 255, but I sure do..

It is possible for people to have unseen birthmarks, for example I have one in my right eye. :)

But can it really be called a mark if it's unseen? The whole point of a mark being to be seen, e.g. a mark of infamy (aka stigma).

That is a good point, though the optician did refer to it as a birthmark....

He did once in The Crucible "Ahh, Italia - the rolling hills of Toscana, the art of Firenze, the passion that is Venezia..."

Venezia is Venice. :D

Only Frasier would refer to it by its Italiano name!

To write all the numbers from one to nine hundred and ninety nine you don't need the letter "A"!

Strange, huh?
