I suppose that begs the question - why wasn't it picked up by a network?

Not sure, but it certainly wasn't a quality thing, shows that ran just in syndication were quite common in the 80's.

Well, based on my very limited viewing experience of both, Star Trek (but only the early ones with Kirk, mind!).
I've got a fake laugh with your name written all over it.

Star Trek has more fans than Doctor Who then. I don't think we should be too surprised at that should we?

I've learnt a lot from the DWD thread, but I'm not at that level yet though.

I strayed into the DWD thread once, some say Star Trek has more fans but the Trek thread has 7 pages compared to Dr Who's 500+...though DWD is usually 2 people.

13-10 is a respectable score.

Star Trek undoubtedly has more hardcore fans. Doctor Who just has more television viewers!

I found this guy's site with a section on Star Trek v Doctor Who - he's American and it was done before the recent Who resurrection.

''Logopolis'' better than ''All Good Things?'' Fuck off. Don't really agree with any of it, but what are you gonna do. I did like the B5/BSG royal rumble though.

Thanks for the link, MC.

Of course, certainly a decent serial with some killer music, but no way is it better than ''All Good Things.'' I'm assuming Cakey would agree with my on this one.

I think even BA tore into Logopolis when I asked him about it as it's apparently as dull as ditchwater, and only the fact that it's Tom's final performance makes it worth viewing. I definitely saw it on broadcast but that was 1981 or something so I could probably do with a re-watch!

I can't really remember Logopolis, but i'd be surprised if it's better than All Good Things. That was a superb finale.

Yeah, I'll read the article when I get chance, I'd like to know his reasoning behind that. I haven't seen AGT either lately but I'm always reading it's a bit of a fans' favourite. If AGT was compared unfavourably to some of the best stories of TB's era like Genesis... or Pyramids... I would be less surprised.

Genesis Vs AGT is a much fairer fight, ultimately AGT is better, but I definitely rate Genesis, it might even be my favourite episode(s) of Who, maybe even stronger than ''TGITFP.''
