I loved it. Some didn't, though.

I think it's a strong finish, but it's not as good as a lot of the episodes listed. I'm starting to think, sight unseen, that ''Everybody's Waiting'' could be the best of the bunch.

I'm sure you need to see it first. I don't mind that show, but i can't imagine the last ep would be my favourite, but, i'd need to see it too.

Btw, how comes you didn't include the Seinfeld closer in your list?

Because nobody would ever vote for it. I'll get back to you on ''Everybody's Waiting'' but I imagine I will see it as an absolute masterpiece, everybody who ever saw it was floored.

Only 5/336 people give it (clarify: SFU's) less than 8/10 at TV.com -

Rating Statistics:
perfect: 288 (85.7%)
superb: 39 (11.6%)
great: 4 (1.2%)
fair: 2 (0.6%)
Other: 3 (0.9%)

I had to be very careful not to look at the left side of the page when finding that!

I thought it was pretty good, but as far as finales go, I couldn't ever rate it.

Are those ratings for the Seinfeld finale or the SFU one?

SFU, sorry if that wasn't clear. Seinfeld's isn't too highly regarded.

Thanks, I thought you were referring to SFU. It's also rated 9.8/10 on imDb based on almost 500 votes.

I thought the whole episode was great. I think it showed Frasier truly struggling with a difficult decision. And the wedding was funny in true Frasier Farce fashion.

What I liked, no, loved about it was that it was simple. Like I said above. It wasn't gimicky and it wasn't "in your face" finale like. It just "was."

I think I've said this before but the ONLY thing that disappointed me with the Frasier finale was Roz's storyline.

At least for me, it wasn't overrated. It was better than a lot of finales. Most certainly better than Seinfeld's which sucked rocks! And for me, it was better than the Friends finale although that was good.

I have never seen any of the British shows so I can't speak on their finales. But I have seen a good share of the US one's and of the one's I've seen I'd put Frasier in third place behind Goodbye, Farewell and Amen and Everyone's Waiting. (GF&A and EW are interchangable at the top depending on the rating system)

Rounding out the top 5 would be The Mary Tyler Moore Show-The Last Show and Newhart-The Last Newhart

it was appalling, but then, i'm not in the best position to call it, as i've never been a huge fan of Seinfeld. I'm still trying to watch episodes though.

I was a little underwhelmed by ''The Last Newhart,'' maybe it was because I knew all about the huge surprise?

It's much like The Sixth Sense in that if you know how it ends, it kind of wrecks it! I saw The Last Newhart on first run so it was a total surprise and the fact that it was a slam on the ridiculousness of Dallas made it even better!
