Best Simpsons Episode - Season 5, Part 2

Weaker than the first half of season five though there are a few great episodes. I choose Deep Space Homer.

Easily 'Secrets of a Successful Marriage' for me. It's great.

Yep, and as usual with my favourite Simpsons episodes, it's not a far-fetched storyline, it touches on some family issues but makes them funny as f**k.

I love it when he introduces Lisa to her 'new' mother, before accidentially dropping her off the treehouse!

Had the Simpsons ended after season 8, I would've called it shit. But after witnessing the travesties of the recent seasons I'd say it's merely "okay". Sure it had a few flaws, but there was some great humor to balance it out - Homer mourning that Bart had turned into a box had me in stitches.

I agree, it wasn't a terrible episode. I saw one on Channel 4 the other night which was really bad. It just seemed to be aiming for gay jokes that were more akin to playground humour than the wit and satire of what's currently available on DVD.

Nope, not joking at all! One of my all-time top 30. Some brilliant scenes - the box factory, particularly - and lines.

The first truly shit episode? Homer's Odyssey, anyone? :)

I like 'Bart Gets Famous' - the second half isn't great, but the box factory scenes more than make up for it IMO.

It's hard to choose between Lisa vs Malibu Stacy (one I find really memorable, for some reason) and Secrets of a Successful Marriage. I'll go for the former seeing as that's had no votes yet.
