For the same reason that Niles doesn't just TAKE HIS DAMN TIE OFF in the beginning of Odd Man Out! :D

True, but in that case - Why would he when he is, where he is, and the other choice is for her to take off her dress??

Perhaps for Niles he was in a great position but why wouldn't Daphne just say "Dr. Crane, why don't you just take your tie off?" At that point, Daphne had no feelings for Niles so having his head on her ass would have meant nothing to her!

See, plot holes EVERYWHERE!

You and I can never watch TV together but then again, we really won't be having time for that sort of thing! :D

Actually I never found 'The Two Mrs Cranes' all that either. I tend to skip it. Odd Man Out however, is a brilliant episode.

At that point, there were so many lies and false stories that they probably just froze and couldn't think what to do or say. (I would probably have done the same.) And then Frasier made the snap decision to play along with it, and they didn't want to admit that they were lying to him.

Rodge, what do you think of other farce episodes like Halloween?

I think farces are something you just go with. They're not meant to be realistic - you're laughing at how ridiculous a situation the characters are in!

It amazes me that someone can dislike The Two Mrs Cranes, but love Fawlty Towers, for example. That 70s Britcom was the template for all those Frasier farces.

Or the opposite. I've seen a few people around here who dislike Fawlty Towers, or similar, but like those Frasier eps.

Rest assured myself and Ben are in the minority on this one though MM!

You can add me to the roll-call of non-fans - in fact, it's in my list in the 'Top 10 Worst TV Shows' thread.
It is just not funny. Basil Fawlty, as a character, is completely irrational and his tantrums are too OTT. At least when Frasier goes ballistic, he does it with flair!!!

Come to think of it, I don't like anything even vaguely Monty Python related - I couldn't stand '...Flying Circus', any of the MP films and 'A Fish Called Wanda' didn't even raise a smile.

If Jack Bauer ever needed to torture me, he could just play all the above plus 'Naked Gun/Police Squad' on a continuous loop and I'd sing like a bird!!!

(Please note: I do have a sense of humour!)

Okay Liar, Liar is one of the bad ones but The Unnatural is hands down the worst  ugg it just shouldn't even been in the season the same with Roz's Krantz & Gouldenstein are Dead the ONLY good thing about that episode was at the end with Frasier and James Earl Jones

It's not one of my faves, but that ep did mark the beginning of the wonderful 'Niles becomes jealous of Freddie' story arc! Some of the looks on Trevor Einhorn's face are hilarious!

The Unnatural is one of those that I like better upon repeated viewings. I love the scenes at the batting cages with Frasier and Martin. Frasier looks like such a total dork trying to bat. Cracks me up. And I totally agree with BN. The Niles jealous of Freddy is hysterical. Definitely some of Trevor's best work.
