Plus Beth's voice makes me want to rip off my ears!

You just don't like it because you know it makes me hot and that makes you all jealous!

Heh, Heh, - a lot of stomach pulling in and chest pushing out goes on in that episode!

i noticed that, actually! Old Kels was hitting the sauce pretty hard in 96/97...

Granted, he wasn't at his best but he still looked pretty damn hot running around in his boxers! He looks way better in later episodes after he quit drinking (well, quit drinking SO MUCH) and lost some weight. Frasier's Imaginary Friend for example! :D

I love Four For the Seesaw though. The whole episode makes me laugh. I think Niles with the phone is hysterical and Frasier throwing Niles into the snowbank after said phone still cracks me up!

Where'd you find all this out about Kelsey's coke/booze habits etc. I've heard bits over the years but I'd be interested in knowing more.

He talks about it a little in his book, although it only goes so far. I assume he's been happy to give interviews regarding those years, too.

For those people planning to vote for Odd Man Out this season, I feel I must remind you of the first half of this ep which is absolutely hilarious! Niles/Daphne 'stuck tie' incident, Frasier alone and miserable in the restaurant and the great line "Not since Quasimodo strolled the streets of medieval Paris have so many people uttered the phrase, 'That poor man.' "

Thanks BN for reminding me why I dislike this episode! :P

I don't find any of the stuff you mentioned there funny. It's just a really flat episode, and considering how great S4 was, it deserved to end with a bang instead of a whimper. So, 'Odd Man Out' gets my vote, although I don't hate it or anything.

Ahhh young Cakemeister! I managed to get you to upgrade Author, Author to an A (I do believe your new system makes your 86% an A) and I will get you to enjoy Odd Man Out too! :D

And how can you NOT find the tie scene funny? Granted, the easiest thing would have just been for Niles to take off his damn tie but still........

Being a bit older than most on this board, I remember all of this stuff from when it was actually happening.

He was arrested for the coke during Cheers and was put on probation for it. He also had to do some community service and somewhere floating around out there are pics of him in his orange jail jump suit picking up trash along the highway!

Then he seemed to kick the coke habit but the drink was his thing! If you've ever seen the Wrap Party for the final Cheers episode, you will see that the entire cast is pretty well toasted and Kelsey is out of his mind drunk!

Crashed his car into a mountain during the 4th season of Frasier and almost killed himself. Then he want to Betty Ford and sobered up which is why he isn't in Head Game and the rest is history!

Thanks for the synopsis there CNR! :)

I don't know why but I do find the tortured artist thing intriguing. Glad he's got his shit together now though - must be tough when you have all that money to spare!

Cakey's given 'Author, Author' an A? When did this happen? I didn't know hell had frozen over!

I went for 'Ask Me No Questions' in this round, because I remember being really annoyed at the rubbish story last time I watched it.

I hate Clive & Clive's accent, (it grates) the farce is just too farcical for Frasier anyway,(if you gonna go OTT with farce then leave it to the experts like Basil Fawlty) and the ending is poor. Daphne suddenly becomes out of character and if Frasier and Niles are as bright as they both think they are then they could have overcome many of the problems set for them very easily.
The only small good part of it is John Mahoney, because he plays his part so well and slightly understated.

Rant over

So when Roz, knocks on the door and Marty says "It's Maris", why didn't one of them just say, "No Dad, you're mistaken, it's Roz, my producer" - Annoying - too many holes to pick at!

Because then it wouldn't have been an episode!

And why on earth would Martin mistake Frasier's WIFE for his producer? That would really have been dumb! That would have made Martin look like a complete idiot!

S4 isn't my favorite of seasons but The Two Mrs. Cranes and Four For the Seesaw are two of my favorite episodes! (and The Two Mrs. Cranes doesn't even have any appearances from my favorite guest star!)

But for me it isn't anyway as it's too contrived. Why doesn't Daphne just tell Roz (Maris) - You must be mistaken dear, I'm not pregnant?? Too many holes, just not tight enough script!
