Roz, I suppose. I've never seen anyone change so much in a show as Daphne did in 11 years. Downhill doesn't even begin to describe Jane Leeves...can't stand her.

In terms of which one to date I would go for Daphne early on in the series but Roz later on because I feel that Daphne loses her spark later on while Roz keeps her spark and charm all the way through.

I know why, she is just smoking hot. And so is her voice, she can pretty much make anything sound hot.

As much as you're correct in saying that, I'm actually voting in terms of personality. Although Roz was hilarious, her snippiness gets to me more than the others' sarcastic ways did. Not exactly sure why, but it does. As for Daphne, I think she would have made a great friend (again...the Daphne from seasons 1-7!).

Did anyone ever notice that Roz said in The Unkindest Cut of All that she wasn't a dog lover, but ten years later (or less?), she got Ariel? That always confused me a bit, but I guess people can change over that many years.

True, I think that Roz was a better friend by the later episodes and more snappy and sarcastic in the earlier seasons.
Daphne, I think got snappier as the time went on, especially around S7 and S8 with the marriages, and then the baby on afterwards.

On Ariel, I believe that Roz got Ariel mainly for Alice's sake. I don't think that Roz was really a dog lover.. from the beginning, til the end.

Daphne was the first character I remembered from the show when I started watching it (I remember thinking it was really cool that they had an English person that didn't sound like the Queen) so I think she became my favourite by default, but now that I'm a fan of the show I find Roz more enduring.

However, Lilith > Roz and Daphne together, at least in terms of being sexy as hell. :p

I like Roz more later on, i think haing a child mellows her a lot. Early on i like seasons 1-3 Daphne.
