Beard or no Beard?

Postby Frasier » Fri Dec 15, 2006 8:48 pm

Hi,
What did you think of Frasier's beard in Hot Pursuit? Did it suit him, or did it look out of place? (Incidently, is that the only episode he had a beard?)

Only one question: Beard or no Beard

I think so, although he had a beard on Cheers for a while - I think it was in the final season.

I think I prefer him without a beard, but I did like him with a beard as well.

I thought he looked kinda hot with the beard.

I think they did that to make him look more like Sigmund Freud.

Personally I liked the beard. It loosened him up a bit...made him a bit more...scruffy. I'm not a fan of a full blown beard, though, but I do like the short cropped scrappy mountain man look. 8-)

No beard for me - I think it made him look older.

Thats a really interesting comment! I think it could be true.

Moreover, if you look at a picture of Karl Jung, he does, ia strange way, feintly look like Niles.

No, he wore one (albeit fake) in S9's Room Full of Heroes.

While I think Kelsey looked better with the beard, I don't think it was right for the Frasier character.

Maybe those were Frasier's own reasons for growing it. He's a Freudian, isn't he? Maybe he was emulating his hero.

Clever line eh? If you use that in public now it's plagiarism!

Are you insinuating I'm lazier than you?? That's outrageous libel!

I should have been finished long ago. On the plus side, I've thought up more jokes, so it's all good.

I'm suprise how close the vote is. I thought many people would be repulsed by Frasier having a beard. Obviously not. Cool

I agree with Paul. The beard improves Frasier's hotness greatly, but he's more Frasierian without it. I can't imagine him getting in a tizzy about his Wives of Henry VIII cups with that stubble.

That said, I did vote for the beard.

I liked the scruffy beard look in Hot Pursuit so I voted "beard." Plus, I liked the nice trimmed beard he had in the last couple of seasons of Cheers.

Bearded with short hair=Hot Kelsey (and Hot Frasier too)

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I think Frasier looks better with a beard. He also looks better when he has a bit of stubble, like when he gets called into work at short notice. Personally, however, I think nearly all men look better with some stubble.

I also think Martin looks better when his hair is all spiked up, e.g. when he gets up in the middle of the night. And Niles looked better with long hair. And Roz looked better after she plucked her eyebrows.
