I didn't really mind the bloke in all honesty, he seemed harmless and a bit simple.

I thought it was funny how he shouted

Its still a tight one between Gil and Bulldog. It'll be interesting to see who wins.

Poor Kenny :(

Good point! I think he only actually appeared in two episodes but was mentioned in quite a few others.

Basically, I think the creators thought he was a good idea for a character in principle but in practice there were some pretty fundamental problems (such as having to explain why he shouted all the time). Mercifully, they cut his character pretty early into the run.

The guy himself I didn't mind, but while his shouting was intended to be funny, I didn't find it amusing, just annoying.

Where there initial plans to make him a regular?

I believe so. I seem to recall an interview with David Lee in which he says that.

Ah. Well I agree, I don't think it would have worked if Chopper Dave was a regular.

Watching on Paramount I am loving Julia.

CANT STAND NOEL THOUGH, I will admit to even forward winding scenes with him in, just a waste of lines in my view

Not even:

"Just call me Noel Shempsky - Party Saver!" in Party Party (I think) from S5? Or the fainting at will? Or the four-breasted "Rozalinda"?

It's a shame Kate Costas isn't getting more votes: she was a great character, although not my favourite.

My vote went to Bulldog. I always had a soft spot for him because you knew deep down, there was something in there! Well.....ok maybe not but he made me laugh and I loved how Roz picked on him. It was however, a close call between Gil and Bulldog.

I never liked Julia and I wanted to because I adore Felicity Huffman. Actor-wise, I think she was my favorite of Frasier's women (with the exception of Bebe Neuwirth who is an outstanding actor) but I just couldn't stand her character.

I liked Kate but the character could not have lasted very long. Hers and Frasier's relationship was too close to the kind he had with Lilith. Either fighting or f.........!

Kenny developed later on and I liked him but not in the Bulldog or Gil category. And Noel had his moments. I have friends like Noel! Geek Patrol all the way but I love them nonetheless!

Bulldog

I would say Bull-dog hes a sex symbol around KACL, also his flirtation with Roz can be funny, or how she made him think he was the father of her child. But also his tough atitude and rough comments toward others.

I thought he was a bit of a dull character. Funny, yes, but you've seen him before in pretty much every other sitcom.

I voted for Noel as well;

Bulldog - fun at first got repetitive quickly. Gave sports fans a bad name.
Gil - As above, and a bit too up his own arse.
Julia Wilcox - Yet to know her!!
Kenny - OK but mainly just background to me, not rip-roaring funny.
Kate Costas - That voice just grates. Her last episode was such a let down.

I would, in fact, have voted for Noel even if Roz had been on the list.

I do like Bulldog. Alright, he's sexist and what have you but asking Roz if the new boss (Kate) is baggable is typical.

Though I do like Gil and that episode The Perfect Guy when they are in Roz's booth (Gil, Frasier, Roz and Bulldog) and realise he's not gay.
"First time I've seen a man 'in' himself", Frasier remarks.

Chopper Dave was good but I guess like Bulldog he could've ran his course. Sad really.

they should've employed Sam Malone as the sports reporter, though judging from his stint on TV as a sportscaster...maybe not!

He only appeared in a few episodes, and had less than 10 lines, didn't he?

Very true Me

still, someone who shouts leaves a lasting impression I find. Especially if you live in London.

I said Kenny.

I don't know why, but something about his weird and silly nature just gets to me.

The thing I like about Kenny is that, after the likes of Kate, he remained a background character either adding jokes to the story or developping it further. he never dominated and thus we didn't tire of him as much as we did Kate.

I think Kenny is meant to be an average kind of guy; not particularly funny, just the typical boss.

From Star Mitsvah:
Kenny: I'm sure he's heard his fair share of Kenny stories.
Frasier: From whom?

I said Kenny. I never tire of him. I think he's subtle and adds comedy. He also never got on my nerves. :D

Bulldog and Gil, neck and neck!

Similiar, yet not so.
