moderation?

Postby JemimaPuddleduck » Tue Dec 14, 2010 11:16 am

Why does every post have to be moderated before it appears? Its eems kinda dinosaurian and kills spontaneity stone-effing-dead. Can't you just moderate first-time posters and thereafter leave it open?

Well, it's only for the first 5 posts currently of any newly registered user.

That limit can be lowered to 1 (or none) as we see fit

I'm open to the idea of taking it down to 1 as most spam posters can be caught in that way, unless anyone has any objections

Niles: Yes. Can I do that?

OK, I have changed the forum so that new users only have to have 1 post moderated before they can post freely.

We should still be able to catch most of the spammers even with this change
