Hehe, I know, they're intriguing aren't they?

I believe the 'add friend' facility is simply there to provide a shortcut to the people you contact the most (via PM, for example).

I'm not sure exactly what the 'add foe' facility is for but I know there's an 'ignore' option with this new forum software so it may have something to do with that. I guess it would make every post you earmark as 'foe' appear blank, although I'm sure you'd still be able to see their comments if someone else quoted them, for example.

It'll be interesting to find out once this is all up and running.

Thanks for everyones comments so far, keep them coming, I'll be responding to them soon

As for Friends or Foes, this is taken from the FAQ link:

What are my Friends and Foes lists?
You can use these lists to organise other members of the board. Members added to your friends list will be listed within your User Control Panel for quick access to see their online status and to send them private messages. Subject to template support, posts from these users may also be highlighted. If you add a user to your foes list, any posts they make will be hidden by default.

Doesn't really explain about what happens to 'foe' posts being quoted though

It's strange to see the avatar on the right of posts, but it's a much more logical layout - with some useful extras, imo.

I approve :D

Looks snazzy. I signed in to see, get a feel for it and I had a 'new' private message which I got on this version in December.

It was like going back in time.

It's layout is the same as the Weymouth FC forum I frequent. Snazzy.

Hmm, mine looks slightly different...

I assumed it was due to my Mod status though. Does anyone else see the stats Sh1nk does?

Mine looks like yours too BS.

I must say, I'm finding it fascinating to see a 'snapshot' of what the forum looked like back in December. The only problem is, it was around the time that I was having a few PM arguments, so my Inbox is full of messages that I'd deleted, hoping to never see again.

Mine looks exactly like 5HR1NK's.

I like the new layout. Like it was said before, the avatars on the right are going to take some getting used to, it's a little weird because you normally start reading on the left and there's no avatar there. But everything else looks really good.

That's the only explanation I can think of. Hopefully when the migration is complete we'll all have parity?

I must admit, I'm really curious to see which thread I've posted on the most. I'd guess the TV thread but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Footy or Doctor Who threads either.

The Sex Thread has an outside chance too I suppose...

I'll be genuinely surprised if that's not one of the top two of three that I've posted in.

That must be it. I've changed my password a few weeks ago and I can only log in the new forum with my old password I had at that time.
