New Forum: Frasier Writing & Fantasy?

Postby brandybordeaux » Mon Jul 10, 2006 10:59 am

Checked the Frasier Discussion board today, to find it filled to the brim with various people writing various fantasy scenes and scripts.

I think its great so many people are writing stuff, but when it was in one thread, it was neat and compact. Now there's about eight or nine separate threads with different scripts in them!

How about a new forum entirely dedicated to this, as I personally think it clutters up the board rather a lot. I personally don't comment on such threads; so its a bit annoying to have to navigate through the site trying to find the normal discussion threads!

I second that emotion...

Sorry, that line always makes me think of the Smokey Robinson song.
"How to possess truth, know beauty and discover harmony through love. How to...reconcile ones-self to time: which will kill us all in the end...how to get there in time for the happy ending." Justin Wand

Interesting idea, brandybordeaux, and one certainly worth me thinking about. My own personal thought would be for it to be a subforum inside of the main Frasier discussion forum as I kinda like the simplicity of just having 2 main forums.

Only prob at the moment is that phpBB2 by default doesn't support subforums (phpBB3 does, and the first beta is out) but there are various mods around that enable subforums.

I'll discuss it with them first, and see what their thoughts are on this topic.

I'm happy to have all of my stuff in one thread because they are projects I've already finished.

I've been waiting to see what would happen with regards to the fanfic type threads, and whether the situation would settle down - which I believe it has, so I don't think there's any need yet for a separate sub-forum for them as of yet.

Obviously, if the situation changes in the future, then I will look at it again.
