Didn't see the game, but sounded like Brees had a stinker against Atlanta. Looks like the end of the Saints mini-revival.

What's your prediction for your Vikings game this weekend, Cat?

Packers are a much better team and are playing at home. Plus, Greg Jennings will be back (one of our best receivers). So hopefully they will win.

Bad shit with that Jovan Belcher story. Awful news.

Then I read this bit on the NFL website:

Kansas City Mayor Sly James said he spoke to Pioli after the incident, and while he refused to discuss the GM's emotional state, the mayor said Pioli was "extremely concerned that fans of this team are not disappointed and not left in the cold."

"I think they think there's an obligation to the people of this city, the fans of the team and the fans of the other team to play the game," James said.

They've surely got to call the game off? Belcher is reported to have shot himself in front of general manager Pioli, coach Crennel and another staff member. Pioli's going to be in shock - and unlikely to be in sound state of mind to be making decisions. There are far more important things than disappointing a few football fans over the postponement of a bloody football game!

No, they're not calling the game off. The NFL and the Chiefs have said they will play. I have no idea how Crennel is going to coach that game. If somebody killed themselves right in front of me I would be a complete basket case for a long time.

Surprised me. Not sure it was even fair on the Panthers, let alone the Chiefs players/coach, but i guess it was a dead rubber for either side. Can't imagine what the atmosphere must have been like.

Good work on dispatching the Vikings, Cat :thumbright:

That game was a bit scary during the first half.

Was really happy the Seahawks came back and beat duh Bears in OT. Puts the Pack back in the top spot in the NFC North.

Good game last night between the Redskins and Giants (not for Ben).

All those people wanting an Eli vs Peyton Super Bowl. Not for me.

Can't really spot a likely winner at the moment - but there weren't too many who picked the Giants to run through and take it last year.

I hate the Giants and think Eli is one of the luckiest "elite" QBs in the league. Yes, he's won two Super Bowls but I just don't think he's all that. He gets a lot of luck wins. Last night was not one of them!

I don't think I could watch an All Manning Super Bowl. The hype alone would be enough to kill a person.

I don't mind the Niners. Jim Harbaugh amuses me.

MC, I think your poor Raiders should just pack it up and go home for the rest of the season.

Bears lose. Packers win! Hello sole possession of first place in the NFC North! :)

I thought we already had. Our defence has, at any rate. :D

The strangest and funniest one is the poor old Cardinals. From a 4-0 start they're staring down the barrel of a 4-12 finish.

Good win for your lot. I watched the game and the Lions looked good for most of the first half. But I knew they'd end up shooting themselves in the foot. It all went downhill for them, but credit to GB for hustling them. In a great position now and handy having some big players due back.

I watched our game against the Chiefs last night. In spite of a win with a shut out, what a painful game it actually was  I never thought i'd see a team make our defence look good! And I can't remember seeing a team ever take so long to get a first down during a game. Yet, for all the Chiefs ineptitude, our offence decided they couldn't put them away.

Giants did there usual implosion game of the season. Should be out of the way now at least, eh Ben?

I thought the 49ers were going to blow it big time against the Patriots. They completely fell apart, yet tripped over the line for the win.

Can't decide what final i'd like to see at the moment.

Aggravating for you that.

Mind, now it means a Packers win lets the Bears into the play offs, doesn't it? Imagine how annoying that is for Cat!

Alas, the Packers lost. But duh Bears and Giants are out of the playoffs and Adrian Peterson was 9 yards shy of Eric Dickerson's record so something good came out of it. We play the Vikings again next week at The Frozen Tundra. Should be a fun game!

I was just happy to see the Cowboys lose to the Redskins. The face of the Cowboys owner, when Romo threw that interception at the end of the game, cracked me up. :D

I always feel a little badly because I can't stand Tony Romo and he's from Wisconsin. I should have some sort of desire to see him succeed but I don't. I laughed when he walked off the field looking all dejected and sad when he blew another game.

Packers held AP to less than 100 yards last night! That was a really fun game. On to San Francisco where it's not going to be so easy!

Congrats. Good win that. It's looking handy to have your team getting back to full strength at this stage.

Good games all round i thought. Seattle are creeping along nicely. Washington had it when RG3 collapsed in a heep, but they've been playing him against medical advice for a few weeks anyway.
