Cling film from Sainsbury's is more clingy than cling film from Tesco.

Baked beans taste quite nice. All those years of avoidance for no reason! A whole new world of gourmet recipes has opened up to me - sausage, beans and chips, egg, fish, beans and chips, beans and chips, baked beans on toast...

I loves my tinned beans. They do have to be Heinz, though. I can't really get away with any of the other types that i've tried.

Same here. When I had my first bedsit back in 1994 I used to live on tins of 8p beans from the local shop. They tasted like little orange bullets and needed about half an hour on my single hob (at a cost of 5 quid in electric or something) just to soften them up a bit. Bit of a false economy when you think about it.

I've learned that I'm pretty damn useless when you get right down to it.

I've learnt that I'm double jointed!

I've been backwards and forwards between various specialists for years because of my joint problems, and a while ago I wrote on here that I'd been diagnosed with arthritis. Medical practitioners were quite happy to leave it at that, but several blood tests in a row showed that there were no arthritis indicators in my blood, so I kept pushing for them to look at it again.

Today, I was sat in the waiting room, waiting to see someone who was going to tell me if all my problems were due to RSI, when I saw a leaflet entitled 'joint hypermobility'. I picked it up and flicked through, and saw that it included a quick 'test' to see if you have hypermobile joints. For instance, it asked if you can lay your thumb flat backwards against your wrist? Can you bend your fingers upwards at more than ninety degrees to the back of your hand? If you straighten your leg, can you then move it past 180 degrees? Can you bend over with your legs straight and lay your hands flat on the floor? I answered 'yes' to all the questions except one.

I mentioned it to the specialist when she called me in, expecting her to laugh at me misdiagnosing myself! However, she took me seriously and did some more in-depth testing. And yep, almost all my joints are at least partially double jointed! I feel special. :D It's nice to finally know what's been causing me problems all these years too.

(Hubby and my brother in law have already started joking about the fun sexual positions I could try.... )

 What an interesting development!

So, can you stretch both legs behind your neck whilst lying down?

Seriously though, you must be relieved to discover your joint problems are nothing to do with arthritis - that just gets worse as you get older. Great news, Bendy Becky...

Hehe, funnily enough, I've used that quote about myself before - a while back when I was telling someone that I used to bite my toenails.

Not so cool when I twist my ankle and embarrassingly trip over in public though (happens far too much for my liking).

I learned that I'd rather not turn twenty-five in nine days.

Well it wasn't so much "Learned" as "Realized for the five millionth time", but you know semantics and such.

I discovered during the course of the weekend that I have an allergic reaction if I eat pomegranate. :(
It's a bit weird as I loved eating it as a kid, but now I come out in a sun-burn type rash all over my body, and have to take Piriton to bring myself out of shock, as it were. The doctors at the hospital said that bananas, kiwi fruit, and pomegranate all contain natural latex fibres that trigger reactions in some people. I eat bananas and kiwi fruit regularily, both without any problem. For the next month I am off of red fruits, juices and such. You live and learn.

I've learned that my endurance for being on the road a lot ain't what it used to be. I just wrapped up two long Greyhound trips that took me to PA for a few days. That's finished. I got back on Monday. Although I'm exhausted beyond measure I now have to get back out there to work at Anime convention from tomorrow until Monday.

And I actually have to leave for that tonight.

Have fun, Barney! Drink lots of Red Bull, that might help. It gives you wings, y'know.
