Was there plenty of scrumpy cider to go with it, served by a buxom young wench chewing a piece of hay?

Er... sure. Whatever makes you happy.

Anyway - Rob has just verbally agreed that he will pay all the divorce costs - I'm trying to get something in writing from him to confirm that. So it looks like I may not have to wait too long after all. I suppose that's a good thing.
Heh, yeah, this was the right thread. I'm so confused about how it makes me feel!

Dorset Girl wrote:Neither of us have seen a solicitor yet. We will, don't worry - but firstly, we're going to write a list of things that we want agreements about (e.g. child access, property) and do our best to draft up agreements between ourselves. That way, it should minimise the amount of hours of solicitor support we have to pay for. That's the plan anyway - although I will get solicitors involved earlier if things start to go wrong.

I’d mention that possibility to him, and suggest he signs over full ownership to you. If he was only going to give his share to Keren anyway it seems daft to retain a stake, as that’s exactly what you’ll be doing too.

Very good point, I'll bring that up with him. Yes, he just wants it to go to Keren. It's only about seven grand anyway.

Actually, because of our weird circumstances, it will stay the same. Its not a percentage of the house value, it's - well, it's very complicated, but it will stay constant, no matter what happens to the house price.

I think I have some kind of 'issue' here, though. I fancied the manager of my job in the chemist when I was sixteen. Then I fancied the manager in the Co-Op where I used to work - he looked like Rik Mayall, only not so greasy. Then my manager of the Admissions Office in Uni, then the guy who used to be manager in my current job. Then my colleague Andi, and now I find my mind thinking naughty thoughts about my current boss, who looks and acts worryingly like a young, dark haired version of Boris Johnson.
