He's fulfilling British pluckiness...backs to the wall. Hopefully, even if he does loose in straight sets, it'll boost his ranking from the current 661. He's already made more money by winning the first round match then he has in his entire career.

Though 2 sets down, the crowd are getting loudly behind Eaton it seems.

It's quite grey, black even over mine...so I'm wondering how long it is before it darkens at Wimbledon. Sunset is around 10 I think...9.40pm/10 but they could play as long as 9...

Don't know where you are MM, but it's still lovely and bright over my part of London, so I reckon we've got enough light for a good while yet. :)

Yes, but Henman remains...lurking in the BBC commentary box getting ribbed by MacEnroe when he's not.

Chris Eaton is fighting on and there's a sense it's starting to turn at Court No.1. The crowd is trying but like England loosing in a football match or going to lose, or Henman or something...there's a growing sense of staying silent.

Well, Mr Eaton did well.

However, Roddick's out. Bummer.

Mauresmo might surprise us and get to the final. I mean looking at the third round, there's...16 matches that make up the third round for each side so...32 altogether...something like that...so still a lot in it to enjoy. This is what I dislike about Wimbledon. It seems over already after such a short time.

I know i can't believe were i suppose you can call it the last week already :(

As for Mauresmo i heard before the tournament that she had a thigh strain from plaing in Eastbourne a week or so before but i see there is no sign of discomfort from her from it as yet so absolutly i see her doing well none of the women seem to be really standing out this year sure Venus and Ivanavic are through and Jankovich can't forget her but no one is looking like they are goon storm through and win which is nice for a change .

watching Federer is something I do little. You're just waiting for the end of the match.

British mixed doubles through to the second round.

The Mauresmo/Williams match is a bit closer now...5-4 Serena...

However, I do believe the crowd gave a pigeon applause as it did a circuit of the court.

I like watching him play, I think he's quite good-looking, although that wouldn't be a factor for you of course. But he is nice-looking.
