Watched Sharapova lose against a 17 year old American who played absolutely fantastic last night. I'd never heard of her before. Also watching Venus Williams-Kim Clijsters right now, a really weird match, 0:6, 6:0 up until now.

My sis was sorta watching to and when it got to the score you mentioned she was like so what the hell is going on whos actually winning ... i replied beats me havent a clue at this point ... lol

Watched Nadal against Alamagro..hmmm another injury for the spanish fella stomach this time you can see hes not totally fit but i still think he'll make it to the last 4 .

I'd really like to see Clijsters win this (even if it is incredibly unlikely), though she did take out one Williams sister, so I'm happy with that.

In other news, Serena Williams knocked out Daniela Hantuchova. I was not pleased.

I hope the Williams brothers don't win 'em all.

Yeah same with me.

Anyone remember the aftermath of the final last year? Serena Williams was jumping up and down. It was without a doubt one of the most horrifying things I had ever seen.

Anyway, go Clijsters!

Williams gets a foot fault call, awesomeness ensues

More importantly, Clijsters in the final where she'll meet Wozniacki.

Funny to see about Serena's shenanigans.

Also, a Brit actually in a final as Heather Watson gets through in the Girls' tournament. Another Brit girl, Laura Robson, was beaten in the other semi-final. Wonder if either can ever do anything in the Women's game in the future?

She copped a $10000 fine for her behaviour, and another $500 for racquet abuse after smashing her racquet after losing the first set.

Federer vs Del Potro in the final, will be an interesting match with Del Potro's form on hardcourt. Hoping Federer can make it six in a row.

It's so funny reading the Tennis thread on one of the other boards I post on. They are all bitching about how Serena was robbed and the line judge never should have made that call when it was such an important match! What? The rules are supposed to change when it's an "important" match?

You broke the rules and you foot faulted! Deal with it!

She thinks she's John McEnroe or something.

I think it's ridiculous that people are saying she got robbed. I can't imagine calls being made against someone in their home grandslam that they've won three times previously. I hope Clijsters is the story of the US Open, not Williams throwing her testostorone around because she buggered up.

Clijsters Wins US Open

Nice to see her succeed at the top level again, especially after having a kid. It was a bonus that she also knocked out the Williams Brothers en route. Christ, did you see the muscles on Serena yesterday during her rant? I swear, she's got more testosterone than Caster Semenya...

Also, Clijsters is the first unseeded woman to win the Us Open. Very happy she won, and to think, her and Lleyton Hewitt were engaged to each other all those years ago.
