Olay, but are you aware that Starsky and Hutch were a police duo on a 1970s TV show? David Soul was one of them - I can't remember which, though. Was it Starsky?

And I was claiming to be the Messiah.

A few days ago, you told me that you find it deeply offensive when anyone makes jokes about dead people. And now you're making that ridiculous claim, which I assume you don't think is offensive?

I don't see the comparison. I'm not being rude or insulting or unkind about a dead person.

I was saying I was Jesus. Now obviously I'm not. So yes. I was being nonsensical. Not meant to be taken seriously. But I wasn't making a nasty, malicious joke about Jesus' death. I would never do that. I wasn't even making fun of him.

I was just being nonsensical. Like Jabberwocky.

Anyway, you haven't answered my question. Have you heard of the show Starsky and Hutch? It's from the 1970s.

Here's a photo of them:

Image

So had you heard of them or is it completely new to you? I've never seen the show, but I think they have cool names. Especially Starsky.

Well, could you at least explain what you think is wrong with me saying, "I think I might be Jesus?"

I don't see what's wrong with that. I was being silly. I wasn't telling the truth. Making a joke about the crucifixion - now, I wouldn't like that, since I think Jesus was a great guy (and real) and it's not something I would do. To make a joke about his death, to me, would be disrespectful. So I wouldn't do that. However, I think that making a throwaway comment like, "I think I'm Jesus" is just silliness - and there's nothing wrong with being silly.

Downloaded a few great things this month, including S3 of The Office in Ipod form, S1 of Code Monkey in Ipod format and the new COD4 maps.

Yeah I had a quick scan and noticed he was listed as a 'recurring character' this season - I hoped that was because he appeared multiple times this season as opposed to because of his unforgettable S2 cameo. Unfortunately there's only a finite number of times Alan Shore can destroy him before he drops his 'you're a hoot!' act.

Shirley's been around less this season, I think the show misses her.

The episode is Tabloid Nation. I think Melvin was bit more subdued in that one. But I was only half paying attention to it as I was in the middle of doing something else and then somehow managed to delete it from my DVR before I watched it again. So I can't be positive about how he was.

I adore 'The Sopranos' - it is my absolute favourite tv show and I couldn't be more grateful that it was made and aired in my lifetime. I could happily sit and watch it over and over again as there's so many tiny details you can easily miss on first viewing.

Enough of a recommendation to give it a whirl?? :)

Definitely! The torrents are a scary size though, about 6-7 Gig a season so it'll take me some time!

My 'downloaded shows' watch list is as follows, in order...

1) The Wire S5
2) The Office S3
3) My Name Is Earl S3
4) Sopranos (when I get it)

I'm hoping to get through the whole of #1 and a good portion of #2 by this time next week.

Every so often I also stick on the odd Larry Sanders Show that Strat was kind enough to download on my behalf when I was still a BitTorrent virgin. :) Those episodes are pretty much standalone - it's nice to have something like that to watch from time to time.

I've absolutely no idea what any of the above (except the word "definitely") means as I've never d/l anything before, but I'm suitably impressed!!!!
I only have Season 1 on dvd - the ONLY dvd I've ever pre-ordered - but I'm still toying with the idea of investing in the beautiful box set of all 6 seasons. 28 discs of James Gandolfini could cause me to expire, or at the very least render me unconscious, though!!!

If only I could get online... :( Oh well, we should be getting wireless when we move house, which will hopefully be soon. I'm looking forward to seeing the store.

Yet is takes much longer to load. Have you got Gran Turismo 5 prologue, DHP?

I don't pay £25 for demos. :P Joking apart, is it any good?

Yeah, some of the other features that have come out, such as being able to take a film out at a random place, put it back in and the PS3 starts from where you left off, are great. Also being able to customise the PS3 a lot more comes with some of the other upgrades.

That was my problem with Gran Turismo Concept. The gameplay was excellent, but it was too short and really only good for a multiplayer racer. As a result, never bothered with Gran Turismo 4: Prologue and just waited for the full game. The only thing I can see this has going for it is that it's the best multiplayer racing game on the PS3 at the moment (Burnout sadly being a single-player game).

But like I said before, £20-£25 for what's essentially a demo is way too much.
