Actually, I've read them all a long time ago and I still have the books somewhere in my shelf-space. In the movie Drax was a French guy if I remember correctly. Drax' rocket in the book was some sort of improved V3 if I am not mistaken, well I guess that had to evolve with the times, the Dr NO looks antiquated enough when we watch it now and yet it was closer to its book than any other film.

One story that I've found a bit iffy is Casino Royale, I mean the idea that you could win in baccarat if you played long enough is idiotic and the way he wins all of the other guy's money (sorry I don't remember his name) because being flat broke and defeated he gets an unexpected Check from a secret admirer is deus ex machina in its tackiest form.

Yes, homeopathy is pure bullshit! They dilute substances beyond the molecule. These people have been obsolete since we learned of the Avogadro number In 1811!!! I mean i can't forgive that kind of imbecility. I kinda read Kindle books now, as I tend to find that books take up too much space. Although I would buy the book if it was a good read

This book prompted me to learn a bit about the Yemen. Rather worrying stats about their water and food shortages.

I'm having a read of the 1st of SK's Dark Tower series to see how I get on with it.
I know there are several in the series, and you could beat a fair sized whale to death with a couple of them, and it's not the usual horror tale that I like SK for, so i'm a bit weary of getting into the series.

References to the Dark Tower series are in the booke Hearts In Atlantis and Insomnia, and one of the stories in a collection of short stories is, if I remember rightly, something that was left out of one of the books and printed as a stand alone story.

So far the book has still got me on the fence.
It's a decent enough read, but not really grabbing me. But it's not pushing me away either, so we'll see what happens.
