I think each to their own when it comes to enjoyment from any Arts, though.

Agree!
I enjoy his books. That's really all that matters to me!

I enjoy them too, apart from Digital Fortress I thought that was boring.

Yep. I actually preferred it to The Da Vinci Code.

It's just technobabble, it feels like he's trying to 'wow' you with his knowledge of cryptography, and once you reach a certain satge in the book, you can predict the ending anyway. I was thinking to myself 'are those characters really so thick that they can't work it out yet?'
CatNamedRudy wrote:Ahhh.......the technobabble thing! I kind of thought that was the deal. I had that problem with something I read a while back. And you know....I don't even remember what book it was. That's how interesting I found it. I think it might have been Michael Crighton's "Prey" but I'm not sure.
I think I'm going to have give Digital Fortress a shot though. I'm a glutton for punishment!

I've read several. I love 'The Shining', that actually had me running upstairs to check if our boiler was okay! (In the book there is a problem with the boiler pressure, and it all gets quite scary.)
However, some of his other books I really don't like.

I read 'It', it took me ages and I got to about four chapters from the end, when I came across a bit which is not in the film. It disgusted me so much as to how he could have come up with that idea, that I very nearly stopped reading.
You're intrigued now, eh?

You're not the only one, I did too.

Have you read CELL, Wes or anyone?
