^ One of my favourite "guilty pleasure" songs.

David Bowie - Growin' Up

Kick-ass cover version of the Springsteen classic.

Why is it a guilty pleasure?

The instant I wrote that I thought you might ask. :D

Pretty much just because it's a little too mainstream/cheesy for my usual tastes.

The Decemberists - "The Tain"

A wonderful, incredibly epic 18-minute song. One of my favourites.

Islands in the Stream - Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton

But, as any good Bee Gees fan knows, this song was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb!

I'm Still Waiting - Diana Ross

I also heard a song that I'm sure was by the Byrds, but I can't remember what it was called.

EDIT: And now Hey Jude is on! The song that Paul McCartney wrote for John Lennon's son Julian (who was five years old at the time.) It's my favourite Beatles song, and is the song that turned me into a fan.

Have you heard any of Julian's music? I like "Saltwater" by him.

I think I heard one of his songs, a very long time ago, but I don't know what it was. It might have been Saltwater. I remember liking it.

Scenes from an Italian Restaurant-Billy Joel.

Takes me back to high school when it first started getting warm outside and we would cruise around at lunch with the windows open and Billy Joel blaring from the 8 TRACK!

Bruce Springsteen - "Waitin' On A Sunny Day"

The best track - and the most optimistic - from his post-9/11 album, The Rising.
