I just can't feel much sympathy, because the Welsh are so quick to celebrate when England lose. It amuses me a little how seriously it's taken. In Wales, rugby's a completely different... haha, I was going to say different ball game, but that idiom's not going to work here... it's on a whole different level in Wales, every person, male or female young or old, is passionate about it. Whereas in truth, many people in England have never watched a rugby match in their life.

Wales played pretty well again this morning. We might have enjoyed giving you a bit gyp over the semi-fianl loss, Ben, but you should be confident of going in to the next Six Nations. We'll forget the clear forward pass for the first try as there's been plenty of those let go for all teams in this tournament - you gave the Aussies a good game.

 I do feel a little confident but I'm a Welsh Rugby fan so it's 35% confident 65% pessimistic. Apart from 3 or 4 players the bulk of the squad should be around for a while, hopefully this will not be another "false dawn". Clear forward pass?? :P I didn't see it. Oh by the way, James Hook, I don't care if you never play for Wales ever again. Useless kicking basically cost us 2 games and an appearance in the Final.

Heh, well you certainly look better than all the other 'home nations' at the moment.

Would have been harsh to pull back that try given the the amount of general forward passes not called throughout the tournament - sometimes i was thinking they must have changed the rules

Not sure why, but kickers from all teams have seemed below par in this tournament :dontknow:

That final was much closer than expected. The French squandered plenty of kicking opportunities themselves in a scrappy game, amazing to think they could have won it seeing as they were in a worse state than England pre-tournament.

Quite a gripping game that final, in spite of the low score. France played incredibly well, and i think they were even having to play against sixteen at times, as the referee appeared to be giving every advantage to NZ to help them try and put the game to bed. I do think NZ deserved to win the tournament, though.

Congrats to Wales on that Grand Slam win - this is truly a golden age for the Taffies.

Please England look to have bounced back so well after the World Cup debacle with lots of exciting new faces. When you consider how close our game with Wales was as well our second place this year looks decent indeed.

Wales have looked good during this six nations, and probably deserved to win the thing. Shows how tight the margin is, though, when you consider that 'try' that wasn't given for England against Wales.

England far surpassed what i'd expected them to do. Winning in France was a real eye opener. If Lancaster doesn't get the job full-time, given the turnaround in fortunes he's performed on a properly shambolic team, i'd be amazed.

They've got to give Lancaster the job, surely.
