Last thing I bought was the latest Simpsons soundtrack, "Testify". As owner of the first two soundtrack albums I felt it my duty to nab this one.

last thing i bought was a couple of large canvasses and a pile of acrylic paints, in the hopes of finding time to see how poorly my painting skills have deteriorated since the last time i picked up a brush.

Ooh, I didn't know you liked painting MC! So do I - perhaps it goes hand-in-hand with photography. Do you always use acrylics? What sort of subjects do you like to paint?

i can't remember, it's been so long

Nah, i'm looking to do a couple of abstract ones inspired by a book cover i like and a mixture of other bits and pieces i've collected or seen. I've sat and looked at that bloody orange and blue vase/jug of flowers, on Frasier's wall, for so long talking about doing a couple of paintings myself, that i'm finally getting off my lazy arse to do something.

I tend to use acrylic the most. Can't explain exactly why i prefer it, but it has that certain something i don't find in other paints. Never really been a watercolours fan - i like to splash it around :D

Have you got any pics of your paintings? I'd love to see them. :)

My dad does a lot of painting and had a couple of paintings displayed in the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea.

Does he? Has he ever had anything in Taliesin? I used to work there, and they love doing displays of local artists' work.

No sorry, just the Dylan Thomas Centre for a couple of days when they had an exhibition of lifelong learning there.

Cool! The Dylan Thomas Centre's more 'renowned' than Taliesin anyway, so I reckon that's better. I was a bit freaked out for a moment because I was wondering if your dad was one of the artists I met when I worked in the gallery... that would have been weird.

Although come to think of it, I bet there are at least one or two 'mutual acquaintances' that we have without realising.

Hehe, yeah, I don't know how we'd sort that out without listing everyone we know! D'you know any First bus drivers or Uni / SIHE students? And maybe we should do this via PM so as not to bore everyone rigid...

Had another spree on Sunday. I got:

- A Muppets top with Animal on it - they finally had my size!
- 2 Pairs of earrings
- A pair of braces (bringing out the Niles in me!)
- A silver neck chain
- Life On The Refrigerator Door by Alice Kuipers
- A Science revision guide for my re-sits
- Another top
And of course...
- Frasier: Season Seven - So far, my collection is complete!

American Psyho, the book.

I've always liked the film, and the front cover of the book look quite different, so I got it from HMV for a fiver.

It's a very good book - it's nothing at all like the film though.

Fifty squids worth of rolling tobacco, sigh.

Ah well, I'm good for the month and it paid for my parking of three hours in tesco at least :)

$100.00 worth of needed crap at Wal-Mart. With the only "fun" purchase coming in the way of a couple of Mel Brooks DVD's!
