Safe house 3/5

Gets alow score as i had o watch it in 2 parts due to the fast cutting zip editing or what ever you wanna call it ...keep the camera still you knobheads or i can't see the action scenes other than that it was ok .

Prometheus 3/5

Hmmm no where near as good as the Alien films , if i was gonna put a phrase to it id call it ...clunky . Micahel Fassbender's David was a the stand out highlight thou .

The Avengers 8/10

Finally got around to seeing this. Quite enjoyed it. I love the comedy aspect to it. Tony Stark is such a great character.

I watched that yesterday only here its called how i spent my summer vacation [ prefer the US title i admit ] I liked it , it was something different and for once i actually cared about the core charaters . Always like a film were ole mel is a little dangerous ..lol

- Moneyball 4/5

Knew nothing of the story or baseball really [ some of the bits about all the numbers hits, strikes bunts or whatever was a bit alien to me at time ] but really found this an ace film .

Mel might be a fucking lunatic, but he's still a phenomenal screen presence.

Independence Day 4/5 first time I had seen this, the lads are showing me films that have been popular before to bring me up to speed with their chats hopefully. Very good but there are very cheesy bits in it.

The shining 3/5 not as good as the book, and the woman annoyed me muchly

One of the cheesyiest films i think ive seen but its a lota fun to , will smith dragging the alien across the desert comes to mind hehe.

Tomorrow never dies 4/5

My fav bond by Pierce Brosnon dispite the fact i think its one of the crappier baddies but the link up with Michelle Yeoh
halfway thru kicks the action stuff up a notch.

Disney buys LucasFilm, plans new Star Wars movies

Never expected this to happen in a million years. I'm always up for more Star Wars - provided they've learnt their lesson from the prequels. With the right people on board, it could be decent.

I'm not sure what to make of that when i first heard about it, but i guess the Star Wars universe is a prime resource for content so it was always likely to happen. won't be the worst thing in the world that Lucas won't get the final word on any decision making. :D

I haven't seen it, but a couple of people i know who have said it was decent enough.

Has a good score on metacritic, for what that's worth.

Got 5 out of 5 in one of the film mags i read , they reconed it was pretty nifty .

ED Tv 4/5

Bit of an oldie [ CAME OUT IN 1999 ] and unknown one this i think although i do enjoy it . It has a cracking cast Matthew McConaughey, Jenna Elfman, Woody Harrelson, Ellen DeGeneres, Martin Landau, Rob Reiner, Elizabeth Hurley, and Dennis Hopper . It has a really gd soundtrack and its damn funny can't go wrong really .

Headhunters 5/5

OMG how good is this ? i just hope there isnt a hollywood remake as i think this is wicked , its about art heists , crossing , double crossing gets quite dark in the middle but the ending is very clever & bloody good , so much in fact i jumped up at the end and i was clapping ...lol now that doesn't happen very often.

I loved Looper, but then again, I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Ending was a tad predictable but other than that, it was great fun.

Never saw it after all, as the only showing was too late for us (had to get back and relieve mum of babysitting duties). I'll have to wait until it's out on DVD. :(

Glengarry glen ross [ thanks to M-C for the recommendation :D ] 4.5/5

Great cast , great script and even tho the last third is set in an office its bloody thrilling . The baldwin brother [ not quite sure which one it is ] totally steals the show with one scene . Only loses a point coz it was to short could of watched it all night !!!!.

The Baader Meinhoff complex 4.5/5

Borrowed this from the school as it sounded interesting and it was pretty good and quite scary to see clips of the actual bombings/shootings spliced in amongst the film itself .
