Not so much resolutions, more hopes really.

For my second cousin to beat leukemia (he's 8), to have a healthy year myself after a bad 2004, and more selfishly to collect the Frasier DVD's that hopefully get released, and (in my dreams) to go to NYC and see 'Spamalot'.

My resolutions (serious ones.)

To attune my mind to the spirit world so I can have conversations with people who have passed on.

To be an award-winning sitcom writer myself, both doing my own thing AND teaming up with the wonderful Meg.

To help Rob in his quest to be 16 again (okay, this one's not so serious.)

To solve loads of murders with either a team like Mark, Steve, Jesse and Amanda in 'Diagnosis Murder' or with the help of a super-sleuth like Jessica Fletcher from 'Murder, She Wrote.'

To remain stuck in my own private fantasies and blissfully oblivious to the harsher events of reality.

You may feel free to call a doctor if you think my resolutions point to my mind being unbalanced.

BGF Unbalanced, no; perfectly strange yes!

I have just read through most of your recent posts with regard to, my IQ and hence my mental stability along with all your episode scenarios for future Frasiers. I then read the thread regarding peoples ages and was shocked to find that you are in fact 16 years old. I can only describe you as the epitome of talent personified. I am also hazzarding a guess that you are female. (Many apologies if I am wrong)

I would advise strongly against you teaming up with sideshow Meg, because if 2 young people of your talents got together there is the threat that the world may implode.
If however you two can get together and devise a way to return me back to the age of 16 - 17, so that i can be sideshows boyfriend then I am willing to take the risk!!!!

Good resolutions Meg! I'm like Ali 75 and have hopes more than resolutions:-

1) Asia recovers quickly from the terrible Tsunami disaster

2) Peace in the Middle East

3) Liverpool to win the Champions League

Ok, I know my third wish is way out there, but we live in hope...

It's the least realistic of my wishes Meg but you never know! As long as we don't finish below the Toffees this season, that would be a disaster! I've not seen Toffeegirl on here in a while, maybe she's still recovering from Everton's nightmare Christmas. Ho ho ho [:]:-))[/:]

Well, Toffeegirl is without access to the internet for a bit, but speaking on her behalf, she is still aglow from the defeat of Liverpool last month, and though Everton had a rough go of it last weekend, she is still fully confident that Everton will finish ahead of Liverpool for the season (not bad for an American following your football from across the pond, eh?)...on another note, I heard on a sports report over here that Wayne Rooney bought an elephant for his girlfriend for Christmas...any truth to that story??

Marty, I've sent you an e-mail attachment which will hopefully fully explain the meaning of "Chav".

If you've seen the Simpsons, think Cletus the slack-jawed yokel....

Enjoy!

Wow Marty, TG has done a good job converting you into an Evertonian! They've just got an injury time winner against Portsmouth, can't see them finishing above Liverpool though, despite Liverpool's near farcical injury crisis.

Just seen another scandalous refereeing decision in the Man Utd v Spurs game, Spurs scored a goal after Carroll made a hash of a clearance and it wasn't given- wasn't even Mike Riley in charge either!

Football[:]}:-(([/:]

Isn't it enough that it seems to be on TV 24hrs a day without it rearing it's ugly head on this forum. (in a thread titled 'New Years Resolutions')

I am certain that Frasier hated sports and as "soccer" is a British sport I am sure he would be turning in his sitcom grave by now!!!

Pay some respect please!!!!

No I am afraid I cannot agree!

Martin was a fan of US sports such as Baseball, Basketball, Ice-hockey, and American football. I do not think he knew much about football.

Having said that the above sports are just basically, rounders, netball, hockey and a bunch of tanned models in so much padding that you could hit them with a tank and it would not harm their delicate skin running around hugging each other, so he does seem to like 'girlie' sports so football would probably appeal to him!!!

God I going to get some stick for this one!! .... be gentle?

I won't be as harsh as Rob but I'll just remind everyone of that scene from 'Death And The Dog' taken from Eddie's point of view where he hears everything as 'Blah blah blah...". That's what it's like for me reading these football posts.[:]NUT[/:]

Never fear, Rob. You have taken brave (and some may say foolish and dangerous) steps in putting down a beloved British sport, but Meg and I will be here to protect you from the "stick" you'll get![:]:-))[/:]

That being said, I don't mind watching football. I'm not one for playing it, though. Oh, and Rob, I might as well tell you now, you were right in your guess that I am female. Thank you for your kind words regarding my Frasier episodes.

Is that a football I see flying at your head? Duck!
