Aah, my favourite ever thread! It's great reading the first few pages of this thread again after all this time - all that early flirting between Rodge and Meg!

Also my Nostradamus-like prophecy that Liverpool would win the Champions' League in 2005 came joyously true!

I've decided to go a bit 'retro' myself for the moment. Not sure how long it'll last before I end up putting the Groucho Marx disguise back on...

This is my favourite thread too, just because of Liverpool winning the Champions' League. It was brilliant!

1. Stop biting nails
2. Get another job - FAST.
3. Start saving up for driving lessons
4. Concentrate more on school work and listen in class no matter how boring the lesson is.
5. Do more exercise and keep fit
6. Cut out sweets

Can we have the Gene Hunt avatar back too? Funny, I used to hate it... now I miss it!

Screaming Frasier was pre-DG days. But fair enough, it does kind of suit him. ;)

Hehe, after my post on the 'yap' thread, you may understand why I feel like I've actually slipped two years back in time! Logging in and seeing that BS was BN again has just added to the weirdness.

Hehe, he might make a comeback when the new series of Ashes To Ashes is broadcast later this year. He'll be wearing that 70s camel-hair coat though, rather than that dodgy 80s' gear...

In that case, my new year's hope for 2009 is for Liverpool to retain their position at the top of the table and win the Premiership this season after an agonising 19 year wait! Call me a crazy dreamer if you will.

Hehe, I'm now waiting for Rodge to come on and bollock me for talking about football on a thread entitled 'New Years Resolutions' just like he did at the beginning of this thread in 2005...

Mine has been the same for the last six years, to quit drinking, but that's probably not going to happen.

I've never been big on the concept of New Year's Resolutions anyway.

I went to work out last night and the place was packed. It made me laugh because you know it's all those New Years Resolution people! It will be back to normal within the month!

If I was into that kind of thing, mine would be to quit smoking and cut down on drinking, but similarly to barnaclelapse, resolutions aren't really my bag.

Another year, another excuse to bump this thread to the top again :D

Anyone planning to purge anything this year?

As far as ridiculous resolutions go, I'm going to try and use the word "ridiculous" less!

My resolution is to use the word 'ridiculous' in as many posts as possible.

I'm going to try and do two things at least this year...

1) Finally write that TV drama I've had in my head for the last 2 years.
2) Watch less football - it's just too painful at the moment.
