I was just wondering if anyone knows who sings the theme tune to Cheers as it sounds a bit like Woody at the beginnng[:]NUT[/:]

The theme is sung by Gary Portnoy who co-wrote the song with Judy Hart Angelo. Hope that helps FrasierNut84!

Apparently someone called Gary portnoy, he has a website too and a section dedicated to how the theme came about.

Heres the link: http://www.garyportnoy.com/hiMain.html

I used to think that too! I also used to think the man holding the 'we win' sign at the end was Coach!

I love the tune though, the full version is brilliant

I vaguely remember Frasier mentioning Gary Portnoy once. The full version is fantastic.

 I have the Cheers theme tune on karaoke
Not the Frasier one though :?

Other theme tunes I have on karaoke are The Flintstones, Hi Ho Silver (from Boon), I could Be So Good For You (from Minder) and Maybe Tomorrow (from The Littlest Hobo).
I've sung the last three a couple of times

Have you got In The Street by Cheap Trick (theme to That 70s Show)? That'd be a great track to do.

 I've just looked it up, and it looks like it's never been released on karaoke.
There are a couple of companies that sell custom discs from their own list of songs (meaning that they wouldn't be on that list) but it's a pretty good indication it's never been released.
