Any good April Fool's japes?

Postby Forever Jung » Fri Apr 01, 2011 12:22 pm

 Last night (well, early hours of the morning) I told Jo they had found a bull shark in the river mersey (I got away with that for about 2 and a half seconds).

The forum prank at the Meat Loaf fan club was good this year :D
Weput a post in site feedback announcing that in a new approach to moderation, we were giving mod powers to most of the forum (including ban controls). However, if they tried to ban anyone, they actually banned themselves for an hour

My boyfriend was thinking of posting "Liam is going to be a Dad :D" on his Facebook status, but decided against it (just as well, don't want his mum to hate me even more!) He also wanted to get a pic of our kitchen, photoshop it so it looked like it had been set on fire and post that as an April fools' gone wrong!

I was thinking of posting on Facebook that I was preggers too, but I thought it would result in too many disapproving comments and too much eyebrow raising!

My colleague nearly had me fooled - he sent a convincing email out to say that Student Finance England have now started funding foods that contain Omega 3 (known to boost memory skills) for students with dyslexia. They fund all matter of daft stuff already, so this nearly had me! Luckily I realised before replying. I'm just waiting for one of my colleagues to recommend some cans of tuna in a report.

Yahoo had a headline about heavy snow being forecast for the day of the Royal Wedding, but the subheading said 'Charles in a mad panic' and I just couldn't imagine that, so I didn't fall for that one at all!
