Watched Flour Child yesterday and this line cracked me up. It's when Niles asks Martin to look after his "child":

Niles: Turn him over if he starts fussing, will you, Dad?
Martin: No.
Niles: I'm role playing, Dad.
Martin: Try playing the role of a sane person.

I'll always like his exclamations such as thinking Eddie is under Daphne when she falls over or when Frasier comes out in "Party, Party" and says about the ice melting:

"What!?" "What!?"

Watched Chess Pains last night... A couple of great Martin lines in this one:

"Checkmate, Schwartzkopf!"

"And all this time I thought chess was hard..."

That's from Season 5's Roz and the Schnoz and indeed, it is a great line.

I just thought of another great Martin line that I love.

From Shutout In Seattle, when Frasier calls Niles' cell phone and Martin answers it and they keep talking to each other without realizing who they're talking to.
You have to watch the entire scene to really get it, I guess, but the way he delivers this line just cracks me up:

"Would you mind, please? I'm on the phone!!!"

Frasier: Come on Dad, don't you believe in second chances?

Martin: I did...until we had Niles.

Love that one!

The way he acts like an immature child in this scene is timeless....

Niles: You want me to get you a beer?
Martin: I don't like beer *sounds like a 4 year old while saying this*

What I like most about Martin's quotes are the way that John Mahoney delivers them - they don't even have to be funny lines, it's just the way he says them that sometimes get me laughing, like the other day when I was watching Match Game when he met Daphne and Niles' doula and she mentioned that Brad and Cindy had their baby:

Harvest: I made a tape of it if you'd like to see it.
Martin: I would like to not see it.

But for funny quotes, I'd have to go with:
"My name is Martin Crane. When I made this tape, I was 64 years old. But now...I'm dead! Trapped in a box underground! Pretty scary, huh?" (Laughs sinisterly)

!!  I love his facial expressions when he says "Pretty scary, huh?"

I also like this:
"Boy, things have really changed since my day. Back then, if a girl got in trouble, her family would send her away to relatives in another state, and if anybody asked, just lied and said she went to Europe. Then when she came back, they'd raise the baby as a little sister. Not like today; we had morals and values back then."

and

Frasier: Niles has always been able to identify a sauce from a great distance.
Martin: His mother and I were so proud!

I agree! Martin is the exact opposite of his sons, which is what makes him so sweet and funny:) But I love the way he spoke when he was talking to Clive in The 2 Mrs Cranes: I remember the first time I drove a moon crane, damn rolled it into the sea of tranquility! :) LOL
And also when Niles says: Dad have you seen Frasier's frittata pan?
Martin: Hi, Marty Crane. I don't think we've met.
The way he says it cracks me up every time?

Theres so many great lines from Martin, ones from the top of my head are-
''As usual Martin has to hear about it.''
''A grown man's obsession with a sponge? No i can't.''
''Probably Japan!''
''Then Niles came along and shot that theory to hell.''
''I can't talk now Duke, i'm in the Twighlight Zone.''
''Your not odd, just special.''

"Probably Japan."

"Sorry Duke, I can't talk now. I'm in the twilight zone."

"I had a reason. Fridge pants."

"Dog army."
