Are we talking underrated as in didn't get all the 'hoo har' or underrated as in did get the 'hoo har' but aren't conisdered 'worthy' movies?

In the first catagory - Girl, Interrupted

In the second - Back to the Future, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bruce Almighty.

 Roadie.

It was released the same day as The Blues Brothers, and like The Blues Brothers it was a film that told a story while featuring a lot of musical guuests.

You when two film come out at the same time that are very similar concepts, and one goes on to be a classic and one gets left behind?

Well Roadie was the one left behind.

The Roadie of the title is Travis W. Redfish (played by Meat Loaf), en electrical and mechanical wiz.
One day Travis comes across a van at the side of the road containing a concert promoter, his assistant, and a groupie named Lola (on her way to an Alice Cooper concert to offer him her virginity) whome Travis immediatly falls for.
Travis rigs the van so it can be driven, and agrees to drive them to a gig, where he sets up the sound rig in record time.
Travis is invited to join the tour and quickly gets a reputation as king of roadies.
With Travis' feelings for Lola getting deeper, but the concert with Alice Cooper getting closer, can true love survive rock n roll?

Funny enough, Meat doesn't sing a note in the whole film, but the guest musical stars who do are..........

Hank Williams Jnr
Roy Orbison (an amazing duet with HW jnr on The Eyes Of Texas).
Blondie (A really rocked up version of Ring Of Fire)
Asleep At The Wheel (Texas Me And You)
Alice Cooper (does a couple of snipets of songs, but the best one IMHO is Pain).

Meat Loaf and Roy Orbison in the same movie.
I would have paid money to be the tea boy on that film set

Top 5 Underrated Movies:
1. Osmosis Jones
2. Transamerica
3. Alien Autopsy
4. Date Movie
5. The Last Kiss

However I think that Lord Of The Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Harry Potter are all terribly overrated.

Date movie is quite honestly the worst film I've ever seen.
Lord of the Rings is amazing...very different tastes here I think :)

Underrated... Benny & Joon
One of Johnny Depps better performances

Also, Where The Buffalo Roam. Although JD was terrific as Raoul Duke, I prefer Bill Murray's potrayal of Hunter S Thompson.
