Clothing Query

Postby Kittysafe » Mon Jun 25, 2012 3:06 am

Every once in awhile, Frasier will wear a short sleeved polo style shirt, that is really nice looking, it's very soft with a collar,
but the collar is very relaxed, there's no visible crease it lays completely flat but not rigid... what kind of shirts are these,
I've been looking for shirts like that for years.

If it's the ones i'm thinking of, then i'd take a punt on either Hugo Boss or Armani.

You know, it could also be a performance golf polo, usually made from pima cotton. They're sweat wicking so very comfy and lightweight in summer.

Could even be Donna Karan, i suppose. The style also fits, and they did provide clothes for the show. Some of his casual long sleeve tops look like theirs.

All the top end design houses knock out similar things anyway. Probably will be pima cotton, whover makes it.

Actually, how about Niles' shirts, he seems to wear these soft laid down collar one neck shirts quite often, anyone know what those are?

I think some of Niles' shirts are Brioni cashmere, but the open color, pirate looking shirts he often wears, not sure what those are.

Not sure about casual Niles gear, but again i'd start in the usual places.

Armani, Boss, Zegna, Donna Karan were used a lot. I believe the props and wardrobe staff have mentioned kitting out the show with clothing from Barney's. You just need to transport yourself back to the late 90s catalog :D

Thank you. I have a very similar body type and complexion as Niles, so I've been looking for similar clothing for years.
