Season's Best - Honourable mentions to Roe To Perdition, The Harassed and Kenny And The Couch but the winner by an absolute mile is Fathers And Sons. A great premise, wonderful guest star, some classic Eddie scenes and a good few LOL moments make this classic Frasier.

Season's Worst - I didn't find A New Position For Roz that excrutiatingly bad actually. Some Assembly Required, Door Jam, Enemy At The Game and Kissing Cousin were awful, but my vote goes to Proxy Prexy. The main plot felt tired and forced and was nothing we hadn't seen before and I think this was Kelsey and John's weakest episode together. But the sub-plot made this look good, it was an utter disgrace and I felt like killing Niles and Daphne...then the writers.

I think we'd all agree it's one of the worst seasons. Star Mitzvah was probly best, but not a classic. Lilith needs a favor was not good/not bad, just "there". Just not a great season. The end was clearly near.

Best: Fathers and Sons
Worst: A New Position of Roz times a bazillion!

I actually really like Lilith Needs a Favor. The scene at the clinic cracks me up.

roz was fearful of losing someone she wasnt sure she had feelings for

why is it so hard for people to get that?

Fathers And Sons is the best of the season, worthy of any of the best seasons.

Some Assembly Required is the worst for me - worst of the whole show run.

We do get it, it still doesn't make it a good episode.

Well, no. She wasn't "unsure" if she had feelings for Frasier. (that's what Frasier thinks but that 's not what her deal is) She was worried about losing her best friend to a woman. But that doesn't make it a good episode. It's a horrible episode. The only good part of it is her going away dinner.

Roz, I felt, had very negative qualities that really emerged the last 3 seasons. I began disliking Roz after she went through the story line with the garbage man, can't remember his name. I thought it was very unfair of her to be ashamed of him and that put me off of Roz in the likeabiilty category.

I'm amazed how fast people jump to conclusions, it's ugly. Saying Bill Gates so adamantly was a ratings grab, if that's true, I guess Patrick Stewart was as well?
Maybe they just really wanted to work with these people and thought it would make for fun television? Maybe? I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt,
but I'll never forgive Dan O'Shannon for spelling grammar 'grammer'... hehe just kidding, in love with your writing, I am a lot like Frasier, for good and bad, in fact
I'm drinking a wonderful La Sirena Azol Moscato out of Waterford crystal Eileen pattern sherry glasses that greatly resemble the ones on the show, took me years
to find. See? I am Frasier. All the best,

Well, the obvious difference there is that Patrick Stewart is a very fine actor and enhanced his episode greatly with his talents. Bill Gates was inserted into the 200th episode as a (very) famous non-actor designed to pull in viewers. He was also there to flog his new Windows XP platform, with multiple references to how 'fast' and 'smooth' it was. Maybe I'm just an old cynic but I smelt the whiff of opportunism on both sides there, and it didn't make particularly fun TV for me.

The Doctor is Out, however, remains one of my favourite episodes :D

Ive just finished this series on DVD

Best:
Proxy Prexy
Tales from the Crypt
Star Mitzvah
Door Jam (one of the best ever..Niles was hilarious)
Roe to perdition (apart from Roz)
Farewell nervosa
Fraternal Schwinns

fairly Bad:
The Ring cycle
Enemy at the gate
Some Assembly required (apart from Niles' excellent school talk)
A new position for Roz (what was the point in dragging out that whole Roz leaving/Roz and Julia thing? If Roz HAD left it might have made some sense. was Peri thinking of leaving? Even if she was, the whole thing could have been handled better)
